It has no Arctic coastal line, making the climate rather moderate. The tree line goes well above the Swedish northern border forming one of the greatest forest areas in all Europe.

Northern part of Sweden consists of nice provinces. The term to describe this area is commonly used as Norrland.

Statistics show that tourism is not the Swedish main industry and in recent years brought only 70 billion SK in foreign visitor expenditures what calculated as less than 3% of the country´s GDP.

It was also measured that northern part of Sweden is being mostly visited by its neighbor hooding countries that is Denmark, Finland and Norway. However, Swedish North becomes more and more popular among such a state as Germany or United Kingdom.
